Samsung Galaxy S9 to Launch at MWC 2018

Putting an end to rumors, Samsung has confirmed that it will be unveiling the Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018.

(CCM) — Today, at a CES conference, Samsung's president of mobile, DJ Koh, confirmed that the company’s flagship will be officially unveiled at MWC 2018 in February 2018. This announcement puts an end to rumors suspecting that the Galaxy S9 device could be launched earlier than expected.

Samsung has already shown the Galaxy S9 in front of the partner carriers at CES 2018. However, the showing was organized in secret, and no media outlets have been provided with images or information about the Galaxy S9 yet.

The upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones are expected to be the first flagships with a whopping 512 GB of internal storage.

Besides, the upcoming Galaxy S9 is expected to come with a 5.8-inch or 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED curved display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset for the US market and Samsung's Exynos for the rest of the markets. Other specifications would include fingerprint scanner under the display, Dual rear-facing camera, Bixby, Cat 18 LTE support, and more.
